I’m both pro herbal medicine and pro vaccination because you can treat burns with aloe vera juice and sore throats with lavender infused honey but you can’t rid a country of polio with plants.

Don’t forget kids, jewelweed is a natural counteragent to poison ivy rashes but it won’t do shit against whooping cough

it’s so difficult being someone who needs to talk to themself in public. there is no way for me to avoid looking “crazy” when im constantly shouting or whispering to myself or jerking my neck. i wish people understood this doesn’t mean im dangerous. people with many different mental illnesses or disorders face this issue as well and all situations deserve more compassion. treat people who talk to themselves loudly or quietly, continuously, repeatedly, or with pauses, the same as anyone else.

Hi some people are saying stuff like this and like. Not to be rude but no I Can't.

My talking to myself isn't describing tasks or quiet mumbling. It's more like this:

"nonononono no thank you FUCK FUCK *incoherent noise* *scream* FUCK off Good morning good morning good morning good morning"

This post was about tourettes syndrome and tics, and about psychosis. It was not about people who have ADHD who sometimes mumble about their task or what is on their mind.

I completely respect all experiences with needing to talk to yourself out loud, but my repetitive tics that MAKE ME LOOK DANGEROUS AND CRAZY cannot be masked, not by pretending I'm on a call, which I do try sometimes, not by acting like it's just a quirk, or that I'm very into my current task. Not trying to make a callout but this sentiment is irritating me because of the exact nature of my post, it should be obvious this is not a tool available to me.

Please don't ignore tourettic experiences that we can't mask, in a post about tourettes....
